Built-in air quality monitor alerts you when air quality is poor and offer tips on how to improve it. Air filter change reminders make cleaner air a breeze. Plus, the included ecobee SmartSensor detects which rooms are occupied and adjusts the temperature for perfect comfort. It can also tell when the home is empty, and can reduce heating or cooling to lower energy costs.
HVAC Compatibility
Works with most 24VAC HVAC equipment, including conventional furnaces and air conditioners (2H/2C), heat pumps (2H/2C + 2 stage AUX heat), boilers, and PTACs or fan coil units with up to 3 fan speeds. One 1-wire accessory or one 2-wire accessory support for humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and ventilators (HRV/ERV).
Works with other ecobee products
Smart Thermostat Premium connects to ecobee Smart Security (subscription required), SmartCamera with voice control, SmartSensors, and SmartSensors for doors and windows.
Installation
ecobee thermostats are powered by a dedicated 24VAC power supply using a Common wire (or C wire) for consistent performance, even in the coldest weather. The included Power Extender Kit allows for installation in most homes without a C wire.
